In May of 2014, Governor Mary Fallin signed into law a bill that rejected Common Core State Standards. In its place, Oklahoma schools have been directed to revert to Priority Academic Student Skills until the state legislature establishes new “college and career ready” curriculum .

West Field will follow the law; however we have gone a step beyond and have embedded more critical thinking concepts into the curriculum so as to beef up the content, depth and rigor to prepare students to be ready for their continued academic success.
